WC Facilities for persons with Special Needs

Cleethorpes has a 'changing place' available at the Boating Lake near the Discovery Centre. This facility provides families and carers a space to care for older children and adults with more severe or complex needs whilst out and about. There is more information about this type of facility and how it can help via the MenCap website.

Beach safety

North East Lincolnshire Council operate a Beach Safety service everyday of the year. During the Summer Months the team work from 9:30am - 5:30pm and during the winter months from 9:00am - 4:00pm. The service provides first aid, beach safety and a lost children's service. The Team operate from the First Aid Station located on the Central Promenade.

Slipways

From 6th April 2007 all members of the public wishing to launch from one of our slipways will be required to register with the Beach Safety Team and obtain a permit. Members of the public who wish to day launch will be able to do so by giving 48 hours notice and providing the following:Provide a valid insurance certificate for the craft in the current owner's name, datatag or ID number in the current owner's name, relevant proficiency certificate (in the owner's name, minimum RYA Powerboat level 2 or an internationally recognised equivalent or for a PWC, a proficiency certificate), and proof of identity (i.e. Driving Licence, ID Card or passport). In addition all members of the public must carry mandatory safety equipment. Providing the above documentation with 48 hours notice does not guarantee a day launch. Please contact the Beach Safety Duty Officer for further information.

Dog areas

Dogs are not allowed on the main resort beaches between the North Promenade Slipway opposite Wonderland Market and the Cleethorpes Leisure Centre from Good Friday through until 30th September inclusive in any year.
